Books by Jim Sterne

Jim is currently working on his fourteenth book. In November 1995, Jim wrote his first book, World Wide Web Marketing (now in its third edition). His second book, Customer Service on the Internet, was published in October 1996 (second edition, 2000). Sterne’s third tome, What Makes People Click: Advertising on the Internet, was released in September 1997, and the fourth, E-Mail Marketing, was released in 2000. Web Metrics, Proven Methods for Measuring Web Site Success, was released in 2002, followed by Advanced Email Marketing, Social Media Metrics, and the tongue-in-cheek Devil’s Data Dictionary. His book on Artificial Intelligence for Marketing: Practical Applications was released in 2017 and his next publication is The New Science of Customer Relationships: Delivering on the One-to-One Promise with AI, co-authored with Tom Davenport (August 2025).
